Level shop pad carved into a sloped Priest River lot
Priest River area
3 days
A sloped, wooded lot turned into a level, compacted pad ready for a new pole-barn shop.
The problem
A homeowner wanted a large shop, but the only good spot on the property sloped noticeably and was covered in brush and small trees. They needed a level, stable pad and utilities run out to it.
The solution
We cleared the area, then cut and filled to create a level pad at the elevation the builder needed. We compacted in lifts for a stable base and trenched power and water out to the site. The pad was ready for posts the day the builder arrived.
Challenges
Balancing cut and fill on the slope so we didn’t haul in or haul out more material than necessary took careful grading with laser control.
